About Us

Rick currently serves as the President for Hahn Surveying Group, Inc. He has accumulated over 50 years of Land Surveying experience and knowledge over his career. He began his career in 1968 with Schneider Engineering as a rodman. In 1970 he was an Instrument man for Mid-States Engineering. After 2 years as an Instrument man he worked his way up to Party Chief in 1973. In 1979 he began working for Hahn and Associates as a Party Chief. He continued to work his way through different positions within the company until he became the supervisor for the Land Surveying Department in 1987. The following year he became a Registered Land Surveyor in the State of Indiana. In 2004 when Hahn and Associates was merged with Hahn Surveying Group, Inc. he was voted in as the companies Vice President. He is a member of the Indiana Society of Professional Land Surveyors and Central Indiana Chapter of Land Surveyors. His areas of expertise include boundary surveys, ALTA/NSPS Land Title Surveys, topographic surveys, writing legal descriptions, construction staking, plot plans, site plans, elevation certificates and surveyor location reports. 

Chad currently serves as the Vice President for Hahn Surveying Group, Inc. He began his career in January of 2001 as a CAD technician right out of High School. While working full time, he attended several colleges part-time including; Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis, Vincennes University, Ivy Tech and Purdue Calumet. He earned his Associates of Science degree from Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis in May 2004. After receiving his Associates Degree he decided to pursue his Land Surveying License. By 2005 he was director of the drafting design and development department. After 7 years of schooling and testing he received his Land Surveying License in January 2011. He has been a member of the Indiana Society of Professional Land Surveyors and Central Indiana Chapter of Land Surveyors since 2011. He has also taught Continuing Education courses and presented on Land Surveying topics to real estate professionals and title companies in the Indianapolis metro area. His areas of expertise include boundary surveys, ALTA/NSPS Land Title Surveys, topographic surveys, writing legal descriptions, construction staking, plot plans, site plans, elevation certificates, and surveyor location reports.

Patrick joined Hahn Surveyors in 1989 to manage the business and clientele. Patrick Graduated in 1985 from Whiteland Community High School and also received a certificate for drafting from Central Nine Vocational Technical School, Greenwood, IN. After high school, Patrick attended IUPUI and Ivy Tech part-time for various Land Surveying, computer drafting and general study courses while also working for local civil engineering companies JFW Industries, Craig & McNight, and BSA design.
